Vitamin is an organic compound, which is very essential for the proper functioning of our body. This is what we get from food. Our body does not make vitamins by itself or is made in very small amounts.

Every organism needs different types of vitamins.  As the human body can not make vitamin C, we have to take it from the food, but there are some animals such as a dog, whose body can make Vitamin C by itself.

Vitamins are either fat-soluble or water-soluble. Fat-soluble are those which can be easily stored in our body. It is stored in fatty tissues. Fat-soluble vitamins can stay inside our body for many days or even months.  Water-soluble vitamins cannot be stored. It does not last long in our body.

Vitamin A

The chemical name of vitamin A is Retinol. It is fat-soluble vitamins. The main task of vitamin A is to strengthen and strengthen our muscles and bone. Vitamin D is very helpful in calcium absorption in our body. It also helps to strengthen our immune system, reduces tooth decay. Due to its deficiency, we may have Rickets.
