Many people attend physical exercises, so it is important to discuss the importance of warming before any strenuous activity. Many people have ignored passing through warm-up stages before workouts because they do not know the consequences of doing so.

Why warm up? Benefits Of Warm Up | Importance Of Warm Up

There are many changes in the body after physical activity begins. A person's respiratory rate, blood flow, and levels of oxygen and nutrients increase to cells. To prepare the body for physical stress, the rate of growth should be controlled at a constant speed, which will demand exercise. If someone stops the process of provocation, then the body will work less efficiently and the exercise will give fewer quality results. Warming enhances the nervous system, enhances mental awareness and alertness, and makes joints and muscles less prone to injuries. Warm-up jumps begin the fluid located in the joints, reducing the risk for muscle wear and tear. It gives the heart a suitable period for adjusting and pumping blood and nutrients in the muscles.

It is important for older people because they have tissues which are less tender; They have low liquids and weak-hearted joints. Sudden exercise can produce heart attacks on older people.

How does a person warm up properly?

In the beginning, it can be done in any process that enables the heart to beat faster. Someone can walk and can jog, Or if a cardiovascular device is available, such as a rowing machine or a bicycle, then it can be used. Begin at soft speed, and then gradually increase the speed until the rate of heartbeat increases and body temperature increases. It is important to note that the speed should be according to the current fitness level, where the activity will leave the person energetic and not exhausted.

After working with light sweat (the recommended time is 3-5 minutes if the person is working in a cold environment) then it should be done with dynamic stretching. Stretching helps in developing overall flexibility, especially in spinal, shoulder and hip areas. The kind of activity a person is planning to engage depends on it. For example, if someone is playing the game, then the recommended type of stretching is that it imitates movements in the court or field. If there is a martial art, then light sparking can be done in the normal speed quarters, or just move in slow motion. Make sure that the group of major muscles is stretched for at least 8 seconds. Whenever the upper body is stretched to prevent the feet from moving, it is necessary to remember to move the legs or exercise the legs. Remember, if the muscles are already warmed up, then only the stretching should be done. Do not bounce while stretching. This leads to a contraction that results in muscle tears or stretching.

For weight-lifters, this should be done after the initial warm-up. Load the bar with approximately 50-60% of the heavier weight to be done for the session and display the number of repetitions for heavy sets. For the second set, the weight will be increased to 80%, then eventually 90% will be reduced to 2-3 iterations. And after rest for about 30 seconds then repeat the steps. After this warm-up, now you can move forward for heavy lifting for the day. The advantage of doing the process is that heavy sets will feel less challenging and can now be done with less stress.

After warming up and moving forward for the main workout, cooling is equally important. When a person suddenly stopped exercising or lifting weights, blood is collected in the muscles and oxygen is blocked. When this happens, a person is at risk of having a heart attack. Therefore, there should be the same importance to calm warming.
